Journey 

• Priscilla Halfyard - May 2, 2015

  On March 22, 21-year old Priscilla Halfyard was driving her 6 year old brother to his hockey game. Tragically, they never made it to the game. They were in a head-on collision and her little brother Spenser was killed. Priscilla survived the accident, but broke her arm and crushed her foot. Approximately six weeks later, Priscilla was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, one of the rarest forms of soft tissue cancer that fiercely targets adolescents and young adults. Although this cancer is aggressive, more aggressive is Priscilla's faith in God and determination to complete her bucket list which includes attending her own living-funeral and to finally marry her fiancé who has been by her side through all of this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Stephen Halfyard - May 23, 2015

  On May 2, 2015 Priscilla Halfyard came into the studio with her dad, Stephen (whom she'd been estranged from for 4 years) to share one of the most inspirational stories we've ever had on our show. Priscilla had been injured in a car accident, which killed her 6 year old brother, Spenser. Shortly afterwards, the doctors discovered that Priscilla had Cancer. Then on Tuesday May 12, Priscilla's dad Stephen called to let me know that his 23-year old daughter had just died. But not before getting married - two days earlier - from her hospice bed! Today, Stephen Halfyard joins us to share what it was like to watch his daughter get married, only to lose her two days later.
