The Ripple effect of Priscilla's fearlessness

During Priscilla's funeral, her Dad, Stephen and her Step-Mom Bridget handed out limestone white rocks to everyone in attendance. They asked everyone to take a rock somewhere in memory of Priscilla. People were asked to paint the rock, place it somewhere special, take it on vacation, just do something in memory of Priscilla with the Rock. If you have a story about your rock from Priscilla's funeral, send the story to: stephenhalfyard@gmail.com and we will post your story or photo on this page.

Upon return to Alberta Priscilla's Dad, Step Mom and Priscilla's husband Nick, each took some rocks to Jasper, Alberta. They each threw a rock in the water at Spirit Island. Just as the rocks were thrown, it started to rain lightly...and well, we saw more ripple effects.

We hope that this image will be thought of throughout life when people, like Priscilla, are facing their own death. We hope that in Priscilla's memory other people will be faith-filled and fearless while facing death.

My daughter Alex was a friend of Priscilla's and I remember her well from times she was at our home. She was a sweet and loving girl with an infectious smile. I was so pleased she was able to marry her love Nick before her passing. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I wanted to share with you what became of Allie's rock. I make jewelry and wanted to make something wearable for Allie to remember Priscilla by. This is the design I came up with. I know it makes Allie feel closer to Priscilla when she wears it.

Thank You Sarah! It is very thoughtful of you to remember Priscilla and to honour her family with this keepsake!

It was perfect timing to have our sidewalk redone when we arrived back in Alberta. The city workers planted two of our rocks on the sidewalk in front of our house. A reminder that Priscilla is always with us everytime we come home.(Stephen & Bridget)
